Matchy's NPP Game was Ten Star!

The laugh of the night was the cigar given to Beerhog by Aqualung. It was a 1/2 star. Beerhog had me laughing so hard I almost played a hand. But Aqua came thru with some QUALITY smokes at the end.

A good time was had by all! Thanks Matchy.

Line up and seat assignments were:

Matchy
Sev4TSev
LarryP
SpartyToJo (triumphant return)
Hlam14,
Beerhog
Aqualung
Faldo,
Farrell
DaveE

Kevin stopped by but did not take a seat. Some guys don't like big tables, while I don't like short tables.

Thai Food had to cancel due to some bad Pad Prik, I guess.
Abe didn't make it because he went to the theater. ???? Hope he is ok.

The 5-stud Hi Lo with the card purchases made a come back for a few hands.
But the game of the night was the old reliable Omaha Hi Lo -double bed.
Gridlock was played in tribute to ....well, Gridlock.

The winners I know about are Aqualung, Matchy, Farrell, DaveE, LarryP and Faldo. Matchy, let me know how right I am will you.

A couple notes:
1) Look for the new Cigar Corner on this poker site soon. There are a couple nice on-line cigar shops on-line with great deals. I can hook you up with an 'oasis' to build a humidor big enough to hold whatever volume of cigars you buy! Life is short - cigars are good!

2) Herbavor (Hlam14) - who swore off PokerStars again until he moves to Iowa and has to play in the league to stay in touch (and that is an order from Faldo!) - has offered to have the first NPP live game of 2008 in January.

3) Boother is having an invitational on New Years Day. Details to follow.

4) Merry Christmas everyone and see you on the virtual felt on Tuesday!

I had a great time guys, thanks for coming. The wife said noise was minimal, there will be more games to come! This morning our little guy Ben took a slug of someone's Miller Lite while I was cleaning up, oops! There goes my parent of the year award.

I did finish in the black and I know Dave E. left up a little. I assumed Aqua and Mike N. were up due to the chips stacks they had at the end, that is all I know. I am an accountant so I'm not very good with numbers. Hope to see you all at Boother's. By the way, the Wings play the Fla. Panthers tonight so good luck to David Booth! The whole Boother clan will be at the Joe cheering him on and he is juiced to play in front of his hometown for the first time.

Aqualung indeed won.

And since as the accountant you are - you can turn my profit into a loss - I want you to do my taxes next year!

While the Boother clan was in the house at JLA, David wasn't on the ice. He bruised his knee last Tuesday and is day to day. But fun was had none the less.

New Years Day details are as follows;
-start time 1:00 at my place
-I will have some beers, BYOB if you plan to drink a lot
-I will have snacks galore
-cash game with a tourney if prefered
-srew your neighbor IS an eligible game

The Boother Clan wasn't its usual boisterous self, I would've bet the part of the Booth clan I'm familiar with never left the casino.

It was a bummer David didn't get to play in his first chance back in Detroit.

Thanks for a good time Mike. I did finish up but gave away a good portion of my winnings shortly before I had to leave. What was I thinking playing the 2nd nuts in Double Bed Omaha H/L?

Intereting note - I was watching World Poker Tour I had Tivo'd a while back and they were playing outdoors in the Bahamas. When they get down to 2 players the babes bring the money out. It was very windy and when the top $100 bill on the stacks would blow you could see all the bills on the insides were $1. I guess they don't want to lose to much if they get held up. Just thought this was funny!
