Proper Hand Gun Grip....and a Public Service Message from Ted Nugent

From Ted Nugent:
"I believe that a person moral compass can be determined by how they reference free men…and the right to defend themselves. The 2nd Amendment is so obvious to me; it is insane that there is an argument.
Let’s pretend there is no document. Let’s pretend brave families didn’t leave the tyrants and the slave drivers of Europe, so they could practice their religion and so they could speak out without being murdered - so they could produce wool every winter without the King’s men coming and taking most of it every harvest.
Let’s just pretend this guy named Ted Nugent parachuted onto Earth and woke up one morning, and saw all these wonderful resources. Then had dreams of excellence and being the best that I could be. I don’t need a document. And I don’t need another man to explain to me that I have the right to defend my gift of life.
And that there is an argument, in America – from Hillary Clinton to Barbara Boxer to Dianne Feinstein – from a whole gaggle of Democrat numb nuts, who would try and tell me when, how and IF I can defend myself.
I find that preposterous! I find it unacceptable, and I will not tolerate it! I am a free man! Don’t tread on me!
A law abiding citizen, not convicted of a felony – the 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights IS my Concealed Weapons Permit. PERIOD!
No limitations. Instead put limitations on arresting someone 24 times for molesting children, I would rather the Dad walked into the room the 1st time the pervert molested a child – and blew the molester’s brains out.
I would rather the lady in Massachusetts last month, who was taking her daughter to soccer, and who was carjacked by a maggot. This maggot had been in prison all his life, but was let out because we feel [voice of a whiny liberal] (‘sorry for him. Maybe he had a bad childhood.’)
Instead of her being hijacked and murdered, I would have rather she just shot the bastard dead. But in Massachusetts, somebody decided she can’t do that. So she is dead.
I would rather she was alive and the carjacker was dead. I’m weird, I guess.
I would rather that the guy who beat this lady to within an inch of her life in Waco  - on parole was he, phenomenal – in front of her grandchildren, with a whisky bottle; I would rather she fell to the floor, pulled out her handgun and shot him six times in the chest and killed him. Am I weird?
Because the guy is going to get out again! I don’t like repeat offenders.
 I like dead offenders."

NPP Live Get Together at T3chlady’s – Nice!

Katie Price was just floored by Derf-63's poker talent!
Many more wanted to attend, but with the outstanding fast paced organizational effort by Derf-63 (Fred) and the hospitality of the Tech Lady (Jean) for the location, only eight of us were able to coordinate our schedules for this Saturday night dinner and poker tournament.

Special thanks to Absea98 (Gary) and his lovely wife Suetman123 (Claudia) for driving all the way from the Grand Rapids side of the state to be here!
Jean made the chili, Sanster89 (Dave) brought some wings, Absea98 (Gary) and Suetman123 (Claudia) brought veggies and desserts and Faldo brought the beer. But Faldo appeared to be the only alcoholic abuser in the group. Planned by Faldo?……….uh, Faldo takes the 5th . No, not that kind of 5th, the Amemdment type of 5th.
Others brought other stuff too, but with Faldo controlling the beer flow, it all gets a little hazy.
After dinner and some discussions about politics, poker, how we all got into poker, and how we wound up at NPP, we retired to T3’s card room to shuffle up and deal!
The line up was:
Seat 1 – Theedouble*d
Seat 2 – Mikeniks – Faldo
Seat 3 – Sanster89
Seat 4 – Derf-63
Seat 5 – Suetman123
Seat 6 – Absea98
Seat 7 – T3chlady
Seat 8 – LittleRedElf
Theedouble*d (Don) got out to an early lead, but had some setbacks before his (JJ) lost the race to LittleRedElf’s (AK) when an Ace fell.
Faldo was card dead all night and when Faldo finally got all-in with (As Ks) against LittleRedElf’s (AJ), a Jack on the board put Faldo out of his misery.
Sanster89 was the next one out. Faldo and Theedouble*d took over dealing, so the notes stopped (oh, and Faldo worked on putting a dent in the beer inventory since Faldo was not driving.)
T3chlady was next out.
LittleRedElf exited next on a similar hand to Faldo’s exit – with Derf-63’s help.
That left the 3 prize winner!
Absea98 finished 3rd, Suetman123 2nd and Derf-63 took 1st place! Nice job Derf!
NPP is looking to put an outing together to head to the Firekeepers (Moneykeepers) Casino in Battle Creek in February. We might have to push it to March.
Anyone interested in going, please email Faldo your available weekend dates and Faldo will find the best matches for the most NPP participants.
Thanks again to T3chlady and Derf-63 for pulling this event together. See you on January 6th for the start of the 21st NPP season.

Douge2 Wins the NPP 2014 Player of the Year Tourney!

Rachel waits for Douge2 at his hunting lodge.
Well, he scored the most points over the course of the year. So to prove it was no fluke, he won the Finals tournament also!
He told Faldo it is easy when you get the cards, but we all know it was more than that.

Great job Douge2!

On to the action:
23 min: A short-stacked (SS) (Rjmech (6th) has to go with (AJ) but Tomservo2 has (AK).
50 min: LittleRedElf (5th) blinds our. That is a shame that the Legend was missing.
58 min: A SS Absea98 (4th) runs into Douge2’s two pair.
74 min: Derf-63 (3rd) has (AA) but Tomservo2 hits his straight. Ouch!
Heads up:         Douge2    3370      -       Tomservo2     5630
80 min:             Douge2    7170      -       Tomservo2     1830
84 min: A SS Tomservo2 (2nd) with (Ah Th) runs into Douge2’s straight.
Congratulations to Douge2 on winning the NPP Player of the Year Tournament – and his 16th NPP win!

T3chlady Wins the 2014 Tournament of Champions!

T3chlady made all the right moves - all season!
“Techlady” used a mid tournament rush and a strong close to capture the 2nd Annual Tournament of Champions. This is no fluke as this is T3’s fifth win this year!
In order to qualify for this event, you had to have won a tournament during the year. So “Jean” beat all the winners – all at once! Nice job Jean.
On to the action:
16 min: Rjmech (14th)
29 min: Derf-63 (13th) has two pair, but Sirgash hit his full house!
31 min: 95corolla (12th) hits two pair, but Douge2 has trips! Two pair don’t do too well tonight
34 min: Tigercub8189 (11th) has (the poisonous tonight) two pair, but Absea98 has a full house.
47 min: Theedouble*d (10th) has – you guessed it – two pair, but Suetman123 has a higher two pair.
54 min: LittleRedElf (9th) blinds out.

Suetman123    1476
Tomservo2     309
62 min: A short-stacked (SS) Suetman123 (8th) has to go with a pair of Aces, but ThePunk75 has two pair – that actually win for a change tonight.
64 min: Wingsfancurt (7th) has to go with (QJ) but T3chlady has (KQ) when both pairs the Queen.
77 min: A SS ThePunk75 (6th) has to go with (AJ) and Tomservo2 correctly calls with (A9) and hits a pair of Nines.
A long battle ensues.
102 min: Absea98 (5th) and Sirgash (4th) get clobbered by Tomservo2’s two pair –as two pair make a comeback.
103 min: Douge2 (3rd) can’t beat T3chlady’s trips.
Heads up:    T3chlady     11,800    -      Tomservo2    9200
107 min: Tomservo2 (2nd) goes with a pair of Aces but T3chlady has trip Jacks!
