Proud of Mayor Bill de Blasio

Guest post by Myron the NPP intern.

I'm so proud of Bill de Blasio!!  The Mayor of the great state of New York!  Democrat!

Here are some recent tweets of his.   See if you can spot the difference in attitude:

Compare with:

Perhaps an even better idea would be to require Jewish people to wear some sort of mark so they can be more easily identified!  This would surely help the Mayor.   Perhaps a yellow star of some sort:

No PS Update Yet - So Now That You Have a Gun - Time to Learn About Them

Last post Faldo listed some handguns that are good choices for home and personal defense. Now that you have one, Faldo wants you to be able to handle this responsibility properly.
Luckily, the gun community does a great job of educating gun owners on not only how to practice with your handgun, but also how to maintain and clean your gun, upgrades you can make to your gun, what ammunition is best for your gun and situation, and also how to deal with the laws and etiquette concerning your handgun.

Here is Faldo's Top Ten Gun Channels on You Tube. These videos are not only entertaining in their own right, but they will give you all the knowledge you need on any gun subject you desire. Enjoy.

1. Paul Harrell - Military veteran who has seen and done it all. Been in defensive shootings, won dozens of national and international shooting competitions, a hunter and outdoorsman....and his videos are super entertaining!

2. God Family Guns - Not a religious site so some of you - don't get your panties in a bunch. This is just a great guy sharing his knowledge of firearms, because he has fired them all! His Top 5 or 10 lists on different types of firearms and ammo are well done with plenty of straight forward information every time.

3. Colion Noir - This site is more along the lines of the 2nd amendment, politics and laws around firearms. Colion has debated the liberal hoard at their locations and stopped them speechless. They stopped booking him as they have Ben Shapiro on politics. Liberals never stand a chance in 2nd Amendment discussions with him.. He is a lawyer by trade and defends the 2nd Amendment with the true arguments to destroy the liberal lies. Check out him being interviewed by liberals Bill Maher and Joe Rogan. Classic stuff. And Colion's updates on the Democrat's attempt to destroy the 2nd Amendment are a "must hear".

4. TFB TV - Entertaining but great information on a wide variety of guns and ammo. James - the host - uses formulas to break down exactly what guns are the 'best'. Even though most of the time the difference is negligible, the discussion is entertaining and you learn plenty about any gun you might be interested in owning.

5. Sootch00 - Technical analysis of a handgun currently on the market. Simply search for the handgun you are thinking about, and look for his work on that gun. Outstanding information and presented well!

6. Hickok45 - The Godfather or grandfather of You Tube gun channels! He is not #6 because he is not as good as the ones above. It's because he does one gun at a time - like Sootch00. Hickok45 is more like the uncle teaching you about a particular gun. Sootch00 is like a professor or gun store owner. It's a matter of preference. The only one who might be a better shot than this guy is Paul Harrell. Or the guy below.

7. Mixup98 - Just a cowboy out in the Arizona desert shooting different types of guns. If you have or are thinking of getting the gun he is shooting or one similar to it, he will give you all the information you need and entertain you while doing it. Faldo wishes he had Hickok's compound or Mixup's available space!

8. Yankee Marshall - This guy does it all. He admits to not really being a gun channel and is more like Colion Noir. The difference is Yankee thinks the NRA is a corrupt organization and currently is more about making and spending money than protecting gun rights. He is usually at odds with some of the gun guys on this list as being shills for the NRA. But he is entertaining, thought provoking AND has great information on most guns! And he does Top XX lists also. An all around good channel! He has a podcast also. Just because he is #9 don't think Faldo doesn't like him. He does.

9. Iraqveteran8888 - A nice channel on a variety of gun topics. He asks questions like "how far can a .22 LR bullet go and still be lethal?" ( Hint: 400 yards and it still is) He does Top X gun and ammo lists also.

10. The rest of them. Some are good - some are not. "You be the judge." - Paul Harrell

Pandemic Hand Gun Suggestions and PokerStars Has Not Updated Standings!

Some people see what is,  most see what they want to see.
Some of you know Faldo has been recovering from surgery, so has not been posting as often. Myron has filled in to fill the void. Thanks Myron.
Faldo is waiting patiently for PokerStars to get their act together. Why their software does not automatically update standing and why PS is not answering emails is a complete mystery. And don't give them a pass with this Corona farce. You can answer emails from home - even if it is the standard BS reply - 'because of COVID-19 blah blah blah..."
Anyway, Faldo has been getting requests about what should someone new to gun ownership should buy now that an actual SHTF (poop hits the fan) scenario may be slowly building. And take note friends; the next SHTF scenario probably will not come with a two month build up. You may wake up one morning and the SHTF situation will make this pandemic seem like a Swedish massage (hat tip to "Grama" in Rounders).
Faldo is by no means a gun expert. But a Michigan State Police marksman trained me for my first CPL (Concealed Carry Permit Licence) handgun. Faldo was traveling plenty on business by car and away from home for a week at a time a lot. So, a gun with me and a gun for the 'lovely and talented' at home just made sense. As we all should realize, "when seconds count, the police are only 11 minutes away on average." And my concealed weapon did save my life one evening coming back home from Chicago. Where, if I had obeyed the laws in Illinois, I would be dead right now. But I digress.
Being an old Army sniper, Charlie said to get a .45 ACP  1911 as a carry weapon. Why? "Because they don't make a .46. Size matters." The 'knock down" power of the .45 - the theory at the time was - will stop a hyped up drug user in his tracks where as smaller calibers would not. And Faldo also wants to point out that the .45 ACP and the 1911 gun platform is still a formidable carry choice - especially at up close and personal encounters.
There is some validity to that statement of 'stopping power', but 'shot placement' is still KING at stopping anyone or anything. To add to what all the studies Faldo have read, any caliber .380 and up is 'usually' good enough to stop someone after 1 to 3 rounds are fired. From what small amount of reliable data there is on self defense shootings, there was no difference between the .380 and the .44 magnum as far as effectiveness in stopping an assault.
So your .22lr and .320 type weapons are better than nothing of course, but the stats just don't support it to be considered adequate for self defense. That being said, a .22 lr bullet can still be lethal at 400 yards! It won't 'stop' someone, but they will still have a bad day if they get hit.
Faldo won't go into great detail as to why the 9 mm handgun is now KING, and has replaced the .45 ACP, (usually 230 grains or .52 oz bullet) and the new caliber on the block, the compromise - .40 ammo (180 grain or .41 oz)  But police have found that the advantages of the 9 MM (115 grain or .26 oz) are:
Ammo is cheaper (more practice!),
There is less kick than the other two rounds mentioned,
The 9MM bullet has a higher velocity (faster) out of small weapons for better penetration thru hard barriers like doors, car doors and glass.
And what you lose in  "knock-down" power with a 'cannon ball' .45, you can make up for with being able to also carry more rounds in your gun! Typical full size guns carry - .45ACP - 10 rounds, .40 - 13 rounds, 9mm 17 rounds.
Now you know why Faldo is listing only his COMPACT / CARRY 9mm handgun suggestions (with a few .38/.357 revolvers and .380 pistols) in these lists. And the ranking is not arbitrary, but be warned, Faldo is not saying these are the best guns or the only guns out there that are any good. Only you can decide what is best for you.
Go to a gun store and see it, hold it and ask about it. If you can rent it, or know someone who has one and you can shoot it - even better.
Another bit of advice; If you have been away from guns for a while, and now are rushing back because you feel the need is there. If you have experience with only rifles - get a rifle! Shotguns - get a shotgun! Go with what you know. Learn the other types of guns later when there is no SHTF scenario going on.
If the gun is here, Faldo either owns it, has owned it, has fired it or has read and seen so many good reviews (GR) on it, that it should be a winner. But I am sure I have missed a bunch of great guns. So here you are:

Pandemics Impact Millionaires Too!

Guest post by Myron the intern.

A few of my heroes whom have shown true leadership in this coronavirus crisis caused by Trump's inaction:

Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer:

  • My neighbor is a professional landscaper.  His father works for him.   He can't legally operate his business due to the governor's latest executive order.   That will teach him to create his own business!  If he want a job I'm sure his local government has some to offer.
  • Golf courses are closed!  This is only enjoyed by racist rich white people so who cares?
Our future vice president (I hope)

California Governor Gavin Newsom:

  • Recently announced a plan to give cash payments to adult immigrants living illegally in the state to help them during the coronavirus crisis.  Hopefully the rich will be taxed more so that more great things like this can be done.
Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi:
  • She knows a lot of people are out of work but has taken the time to help us all by showing us the kitchen of a millionaire and a look into her freezer filled with ice cream!!!!   This made me feel as happy as I did when I aced my last gender studies exam at the conservative University of Michigan.   My father (who was recently laid off) failed to see the humor in this.  He muttered something about an upcoming mortgage payment which confounded me since I'm not aware of what those are.   Here is the video for your enjoyment.
