Find Your Copy of the Constitution – Then Wipe Your Ass with It

Democrats enjoying freedom in the United States

That is what the Supreme Court just did. If it is good enough for five communists to do that with it, you might as well get a little benefit from the piece of paper too.
It only used to be the greatest document in the history of the world, written by our founding fathers with the hand of God.
But that was before. Before women got the vote, before the New Deal, before Social Security, before The Great Society, before the War on Poverty, before the undeclared War on Iraq, and before our voters elected an admitted communist to the White House.
Wipe your ass with the Constitution, before the government taxes you for having it and then orders you to burn it. Quick, while it still has some value.
Faldo started receiving text messages almost immediately.
American #1 –“The Supreme Court just fxxxed the country in the ass.”
Faldo – “I already told you- guns, butter and bullets.”
American #2 – “Fxxxing liberals on the Supreme Court!”
Faldo – “It is time to openly declare war on liberals. They have been at war with Americans for 80 years. Time for us to engage the enemy.”
American #3 – “I didn’t see that coming. I thought they would strike it down.”
Faldo – “You overestimate the brains, morals and ethics of liberals.”
American #4 – “Well, the country is done now.”
Faldo – to quote Teddy KGB, “Don’t worry son. It will all be over soon.”
American #5 – “November just became more important.”
Faldo – “Less important. It’s over.”
American #6 – “Romney has to win now so he can repeal it.”
Faldo – “Are you out of your mind? Romney wrote it. The Supreme Court blessed it. The Republicans will start the mantra that they will do it ‘smarter.’
American #7 – “Scary times ahead.”
Faldo – “The beginning of the end is always scary.”
American #8 – “I just heard about the ruling and I am honestly getting physically sick to my stomach.”
Faldo – “That feeling is stress for not beating the shit out of liberals who desperately need it. At the very least, shun them all. At the most…..well there is no most as to what to do with traitors.”
Faldo to recap:
I listened to Rush today. All he did was off-handedly discuss the possibility that Judge Roberts was “gotten to”, like the mob would get to a Capone jury member. But he was also careful to point out – it is not him saying this, and – that this is what he only read on the blogs. Three full hours of this!
Thanks Rush for working with the enemy, while making millions, by keeping the conservatives under control. Keep talking and assuring us that we still have time to save the country. Rush, this is nice work you are doing for the enemy.
We are all just frogs being slowly boiled to death in a pot of water the liberals turn the heat up on - one degree at a time.
Rush Limbaugh is working hard to keep the conservatives in the pot, and not rushing (pun intended) out of it and fighting for our country.
Its ok to cry while wiping. I did.

Lump2 Wins His 3rd Tourney of the Quarter – But it was not enough!

She is trying to say it is 3 wins each for Tom and Lump.
Lump2 and Tomservo2 were the only two players to win three tourneys this quarter, but Tomservo2 finished with the most total points.
Congratulations to Tom on a fine job.

T3chlady - The 1st Lady of Freedom in the Socialist Republic of Ann Arbor

God bless T3chlady and all her friends!
T3chlady threw a BBQ for Freedom Fighters in the heart of the liberal beast this weekend at her Ann Arbor family estate.
A crowd of staunch conservatives converged to discuss the freeing of our nation from Democrat communist bondage. There were lots of lively discussions, but very little debate. After all, what is there to debate? Liberals are mentally ill, our nation has been destroyed by 70 years of liberal politics, and it is way past time to WAKE UP, take a stand and stop it.
Entertainment was brought to us by A2 Magic (a2magic dot com). It was an outstanding show and Faldo recommends them highly. FYI, T3chlady turned down the offer for Faldo to provide the entertainment. Go figure.
In addition, we were broken into teams and played a Constitution version of “Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader,” which only proved Faldo is not. But it was a lot of fun.
Dinner was served and Faldo’s steak served to repair the embarrassment of displaying my kindergarten brain.
But the highlight of the BBQ in Faldo’s opinion was the guest appearance of Thayrone X – talk radio star of WAAM 1600 – Ann Arbor! If you have not listened to Thayrone 3pm to 6pm, you are missing some of the most compelling and educational radio there is.
His show is called “On the Edge with Thayrone” – and it is truly on the cutting edge, while our nation and freedoms are on the edge of a cliff.
I wish to thank everyone I met there for an enjoyable evening, and of course special thanks to T3chlady for hosting it.
On a poker note, T3chlady showed Faldo and Rjmech the poker room she is building in her basement.
And yes, RJ is on the Walk of Fame – and all of us should be thankful he is not playing on Tuesday night. Two LittleRedElf type players Faldo doesn’t need! Faldo is just kidding about not needed great poker players. COME BACK to NPP RJ!
T3 said it will be done soon and invitations to some poker games are in the offing. Nice!

Amarillo Slim – RIP

Amarillo Slim drew people to poker before there were other reasons to play.
The winner of the first World Series of Poker – dead at 83.
Thomas Preston started out as a pool hustler, then turned poker player. He joined the likes of Doyle Brunson and Brian “Sailor” Roberts on Texas poker circuit, and forming a partnership with them.
The story is that Amarillo broke Doyle and Sailor and loaned them $2500 – enough to get home. The re-paid loan built a trust, and soon the three were sharing a bankroll and playing poker across the country and betting sports.
It was Amarillo Slim who first put poker in the national spotlight, appearing on the Johnny Carson Show (Tonight Show) ELEVEN times! You have to be able to spread the manure pretty well to do that.
Here is a list of Slim’s best one liners:
“You can shear a sheep many times, but you can skin them only once.”
“If there is something worth arguing about, bet on it or shut up.”
“That boy couldn’t track an elephant in four feet of snow.”
“If it was raining soup, he would be out there with a fork.”
“I knocked that off like a dead limb.”
“It was warmer than a widow woman’s love.
“Very seldom do the lambs slaughter the butcher.”
“All trappers don’t wear fur caps.
“She’s as pretty as a speckled pup under a red wagon.”
“What he smelled cookin, wasn’t even on the stove.”
“I had so many chips that a show dog couldn’t jump over them.”
“He’d put a rattlesnake in your pocket, and then ask you for a match.”
Rest easy Slim.

Irina Sheik offered Cpadanj the shirt off her back.

Cpadanj becomes the 67th person to win an NPP tournament, joining a list of great poker players. The NPP Wall of Fame lists them all, and Cpadanj joins them tonight! Congratulations Dan!
The 2nd Quarter has one round to play and it will boil down to a two-person race really. Can Tomservo2 hold off T3chlady?
T3chlady will need to win – against a good size field – and with Tomservo2 not getting any points.
But points are always important as the two highest totals who don’t win a quarter, also get a seat in the NPP Finals. So be there or be square!

Nik Faldo Gets Letters – Today: “She’s all Wet!”

Marissa Miller waits for Faldo's orders.
I am getting so many of these letters I need to make answering them a weekly installment. Helping my public manage their relationships is the least I can do.

Dear Mr. Faldo,

My wife does not like it when I smoke a cigar outside while watering the flowers. Do you have any advice for me?

Signed,
Getting Hassled

Dear Hassled,
I have to tell you something. It is a little rude of you to smoke a cigar so close to where your wife is doing her chores, like watering the flowers. But I know watching women do their chores is very relaxing. I am a fan of it myself.
But if you want to spoil her, you should have had her set you up a comfortable chair for the front porch, and a hammock or padded recliner for the back yard. That way you can smoke your cigar on the side of the house she is not watering.
Yes, it is true that letting her decide where you get to smoke your cigar on certain days may get some getting used to. But sometimes it is good to let wives make a few harmless decisions once in a while. Not that it is important, but it does seem to make them happier.
If this kind treatment of your wife backfires, as it sometimes does - and your wife starts to think her opinion matters - simply withhold sex until she starts behaving herself again.

Douge2's Humor Column - Good Intentions Gone Wrong

A Homeless Man’s Funeral

As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the Kentucky back country.

As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn't stop for directions. I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch.

I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn't know what else to do, so I started to play. The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends.

I played like I've never played before for this homeless man.

And as I played 'Amazing Grace,' the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car. Though my head hung low, my heart was full.

As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, "I never seen nothin' like that before and I've been putting in septic tanks for twenty years."

Apparently I'm still lost....

A Golfer’s Woe

A golfer was involved in a terrible car crash and was rushed to the hospital. Just before he was put under, the surgeon popped in to see him.
"I have some good news and some bad news," says the surgeon.
"The bad news is that I have to remove your right arm!"
"Oh God no!" cries the man. "My golfing is over! Please Doc, what's the good news?"
"The good news is, I have another one to replace it with, but it's a woman's arm. I'll need your permission before I go ahead with the transplant."
"Go for it doc" says the man. "As long as I can play golf again."
The operation went well and a year later the man was out on the golf course when he bumped into the surgeon.
"Hi, how's the new arm?" asks the surgeon.
"Just great," says the businessman. "I'm playing the best golf of my life. My new arm has a much finer touch and my putting has really improved."
"That's great," said the surgeon.
"Not only that," continued the golfer, "my handwriting has improved, I've learned how to sew my own clothes and I've even taken up painting landscapes in watercolors."
"Unbelievable!" said the surgeon, "I'm so glad to hear the transplant was such a great success. Are you having any side effects?"

"Well, just one problem," said the golfer. "Every time I get an erection, I also get a headache.

Lump2 Wins His 3rd NPP Tourney

Lisa Dergan in the NPP locker room.
Lump2 took no prisoners as he eliminated over half the field en-route to his victory. He also is putting himself in the Total Points race. Not that he will need that for a seat in the finals if he keeps playing like this. He will win the 3rd or 4th quarter!
It might be a little late to catch the leaders of the 2nd quarter. Tomservo2 has a healthy lead, but not a safe one. There are still a few players with a shot of catching up.
Anyway, it will be a real exciting finish in the last two rounds!
PS: Lots of hands ran into (AA) tonight and American Airlines held up.
On to the action:
12 min: ThePunk75 (13th) sees his trip Jacks run into Lump2’s flush. Ouch!
21 min: Suetman123 (12th) with (AQ) cannot catch Derf-63’s (JJ).
27 min: 95corolla (11th) has kicker problems against Lump2.
34 min: A short-stacked (SS) Absea98 (10th) runs into Mikeniks-Faldo’s (AA).
41 min: A (SS) Sanster89 (9th) runs into T3chlady’s (AA).
45 min: A SS Wingsfancurt (8th) has to go with (QJ) and runs into Lump2’s (AQ).
46 min: A SS Derf-63 (7th) has to go with (44) and runs into T3chlady’s (AA).
55 min: 8thmile (6th) has to go with (AK) and gets run down by the PokerStars Break Monster as Lump2 catches a straight on the river.
1st break:
T3chlady    5860
Eyekall    4605
Lump2    4375
Mikeniks-Faldo    2400
Tomservo2    2260
Play goes on for 15 minutes and then all heck breaks loose!
75 min:  Eyekall (5th) loses to Lump2’s higher two pair.
79 min: A SS Tomservo2 (4th) goes with (KJ) and cannot run down Lump2’s (99).
80 min: T3chlady (3rd) goes with (TT) and runs into Lump2’s (AA). Lots of that tonight!
Heads Up:   Lump2      16500      -     Mikeniks-Faldo     3000
82 min:  A SS Mikeniks-Faldo (2nd) has to go with (J9) with a [9] on the flop, but Lump2 has (K9).
Congratulations to Lump2 on his 3rd NPP win!
1st – Lump2
2nd – Mikeniks-Faldo
3rd – T3chlady
4th – Tomservo2

Windsor Winnings by Theedouble*d

I feel it is only fair to give some background on the story and not just the highlights.  I have only 2 months left in my thus far fruitless attempt to turn a profit playing poker.  I believe I told you that I would give it a year {Ed. Note: Not enough time. Experts say you need 5,000 to 10,000 hours at the poker tables for a fair analysis, providing you are not just bleeding cash. And a full time job is 2,000 hours a year, so it is a long-term analysis. A year is not enough time since I doubt you played even 500 hours.}

So far, I have turned a profit in only 2 of the 10 months I have played.  The productive months were not significant enough profit to offset the net loss from the other months.  I have recently altered the types of tourneys and games that I am playing to try and find a productive place for my style of play. {Ed. Note: “Altering” is the key word here. That is why the 10000 hour rule is in effect. You are still hunting and pecking for your best game. Experimentation increases risk and variance!}

I am playing cash games and am devoting most tourney play to $100 buy-ins and up.  This is based on my belief that the lower dollar tourneys have more draw chasers in any given tourney than quality players.
{Ed. Note: You forgot your BIGGEST enemy by far – RAKE! Draw chasers are your long-term profit people. Rake is money lost to the poker universe. You cannot win RAKE, no matter how well you run. If the payouts are 80% or less of the total prize fund, Phil Ivey can’t win in the long run – FYI. If no-foldem holdem tourneys with 50% to 80% rake is your game, it’s not you – it’s them. You can’t beat the game.}
When you have 2/3rds of players that won't fold a hand that has 25 - 35 % chance of winning, (regardless of how strong I try to bet them out) it is hard for a quality player to dodge that many waiting suckouts to make it to the final table consistently.  I call it, "Diminishing Dividends due to Dire Disability to Dodge Donkeys".  (DoubleD has that one patented).  LOL {Ed. Note: Sextuple D? Sounds about right.}
The trip to Windsor was to play in WSOP qualifiers. There was supposed to be 2 on Friday with 70 dollar buy ins to win a $550 seat to a qualifier to the WORLD SERIES on Saturday.  The Friday @ 10 pm did not have enough players.  I went to cash tables and played 3 hours.
I bought in for 200 dollars and cashed out at $650 and took a break for lunch.  Post lunch I bought back in for 200 dollars and after 5 hours I cashed out at $720.  Took a dinner break and bought entry into 8pm 70 dollar qualifier.  That left me at $900 profit from the cash tables for the day. {Ed. Note: Not near enough time played to say for sure, but cash games are where players make money. Tournaments (with the rake structure we see around here) are a much higher risk and variance to profit.}
No individual hands stood out.  The day at the cash tables was characterized by the great majority of my hands holding up.  It seemed to me that my larger bets were more likely to be respected than they might be in the same game on the American side.  If I ten bet to open or bet twice the pot after the flop it was most often met with a fold, instead of 3 callers like in the charity houses stateside.  (Can you tell I am not playing small-ball anymore?)
{Ed. Note: Unless you are Negreanu, Hansen, Beerhog or K9isadog, small-ball is not usually a good long-term plan.}
The $70 dollar qualifier had 18 players.  This created a prize pool of one $550 seat and $440 for second place. {Ed. Note: Rake equaled 21.4%. There’s the problem!!!!}
I watched 2 high quality players at my table get sucked out on when they were dominant favorites.  I do not take much glory.  My hands simply held up when I got it in best.  We all know it don't usually fly that straight. LOL.
{Ed. Note: Short-term – luck is a HUGE factor! You are correct in not taking ANY glory for one successful tournament. For crying out loud, even FALDO has won a tournament.}
When there were 3 players left we chopped the $440 so 2nd and 3rd got $220.  My AsKs took out the 5s5c of the gal taking 3rd place when the four flush came.  The young gun that finished second and I went heads up for quite awhile until he crippled himself by shoving A7 into my QQ.   I kept the pressure on til he cracked calling with Q6 when I had AQ.  So I won the $550 dollar seat topping off a Devastating Day for players who thought they might Donkey Down on me.
I went back on Saturday for the 4pm tourney a little early and played a few hours of cash game.  Profited $350 in that session.  The 4pm qualifier for the Big Show in Vegas did not have enough players so the casino had to pay me the $550.
Since I had $900 dollars profit in my hand, I decided to spend the evening with some of the other loves of my life.  So I took my wife, daughter, and grandaughter to dinner and indulged in the local mall play place.  Success can ring hollow if you do not share it with those you love.  I pray that the poker blessings continue, but as for me... I shall consider myself wealthy no matter how the future of poker profit plays out. - DD
{Ed. Note: Spending your poker bankroll is not a good plan either. A 10% payout or profit ONCE a year to yourself is a better plan. That way you have the cash for the inevitable swings in variance-luck-suckouts-and bouts of playing like Faldo.
Nice report DD. Faldo’s analysis: Play cash games almost exclusively. Play tournaments only with 2% of cash game profits as a “shot” at a big boost to profit, but know it is a risk. If you are serious about actually making money playing poker, build your bankroll. A big bankroll allows you the ability to play for higher stakes – assuming you can still beat those games – and lowering the RAKE factor, automatically increasing your profit.}

The Ascendance of Sociopaths in US Governance by Doug Casey – Part 4 of 4

WHAT TO DO
The flag is sinking fast. Don't let the sun go down on the USA!
One practical issue worth thinking about is how you, as someone with libertarian values, will manage in a future increasingly controlled by sociopaths. My guess is poorly, unless you take action to insulate yourself. That's because of the way almost all creatures are programmed by nature. There's one imperative common to all of them: Survive!
People obviously want to do that as individuals. And as families. In fact, they want all the groups that they're members of to survive, simply because (everything else being equal) it should help them to survive as individuals. So individual Marines want the Marine Corps to survive. Individual Rotarians want the Rotary Club to prosper. Individual Catholics leap to the defense of the Church of Rome.
That's why individual Germans during World War II were, as has been asserted, "willing executioners" – they were supporting the Reich for the same reasons the Marines, the Rotarians and the Catholics support their groups. Except more so, because the Reich was under attack from all sides. So of course they followed orders and turned in their neighbors who seemed less than enthusiastic.
Failing to support the Reich – even if they knew it had some rather unsavory aspects – seemed an invitation to invading armies to come and rape their daughters, steal their property and probably kill them. So of course the Germans closed ranks around their leaders, even though everyone at the top was a sociopath. You can expect Americans to do the same.
Americans have done so before, when the country was far less degraded. During the War Between the States, even saying something against the war was a criminal offense. The same was true during World War I. In World War II, the Japanese were all put in concentration camps on groundless, racially based suspicions of disloyalty.
The examples are legion among humans, and the US was never an exception. It's even true among chickens. If a bird has a feather out of place, the others will peck at it, eventually killing it. That out-of-place feather is deemed a badge of otherness announcing that its owner isn't part of the group. Chicken Autre must die.
Libertarians, who tend to be more intelligent, better informed and very definitely more independent than average, are going to be in a touchy situation as the crisis deepens. Most aren't going to buy into the groupthink that inevitably accompanies war and other major crises. As such, they'll be seen as unreliable, even traitors. As Bush said, "If you're not with us, you're against us."
And, he might have added, "the Constitution be damned." But of course that document is no longer even given lip service; it's now a completely dead letter.
It's very hard for an individualist to keep his mouth shut when he sees these things going on. But he'd better keep quiet, as even H.L. Mencken wisely did during both world wars. In today's world, just keeping quiet won't be enough; the national security state has an extensive, and growing, file on everybody.
They believe they know exactly what your beliefs, desires, fears and associations are, or may be. What we're now facing is likely to be more dangerous than past crises. If you're wise, you'll relocate someplace where you're something of an outsider and, by virtue of that fact, are allowed a measure of eccentric opinion. That's why I spend an increasing amount of time in Latin America
In truth, however, security is going to be hard to find anywhere in the years to come. The most you can hope for is to tilt the odds in your favor.
The best way to do that is by diversifying your assets internationally. Allocating your wealth into real assets. Linking up with sound, like-minded people who share your values. And staying alert for the high-potential speculations that inevitably arise during chaotic times. – End
Soon, the “traitors to our country” will be declared. Whether they will correctly be called “liberals” – or since things continually seem to be upside-down – or “conservatives”, Faldo almost doesn’t care. A dictatorial type Marshall Law will have to be declared either way – to either end our freedom or to get it back.
Like waiting for the start of a big poker tournament – Faldo feels like “Let’s shuffle up and deal!!!” already. The waiting is the worst part. Most thinking people feel we have one election left to save the country.
They are right, but without a complete "about face" in the direction we are heading, it will only delay it by four to eight years. Then our nation of idiots will elect yet ANOTHER communist to the White House.
Let the chips and the bodies fall where they may. A slave will die a thousand deaths, but a hero only one. Take me off the slave roster. I won’t be there.

Absea98 Wins His 2nd NPP Tilt of the Year

Rachelle Leah wants Faldo to pull some strings for her.

A little light at the tables tonight as only fourteen made it. Some big names were missing and some other big names were knocked out early. Some took advantage of the vacuum to garner much needed points in the standings. Some didn’t – like Faldo.
Derf-63, with back to back 2nds, moves into 2nd in the 2nd Quarter standings. Absea98 moves into the hunt with three weeks left. And of course the overall point race tightened up. Very exciting!
On to the action:

23 min: Tomservo2 (14th) hits top pair but runs into Absea98’s two pair.
24 min: LittleRedElf (13th) sees his flush run into Lump2’s higher flush. Ouch!
30 min: Sanster89 (12th) hits two pair and runs into Eyekall’s full house.
33 min: A short-stacked (SS) 8thmile (11th) has kicker problems against Suetman123.
35 min: A short-stacked (SS) Pre01 (10th) loses to trip kings.
37 min: A short-stacked (SS) K9isadog (9th) gets run down by Derf-63’s trip Eights.
40 min: Cpadanj (8th)
1st break:
Absea98    4795
Lump2    4335
Suetman123   3950
Derf-63   3710
Eyekall    2795
T3chlady    1330
Mikeniks-Faldo    75
62 min: A SS Mikeniks-Faldo (7th) was bad-carded to death. But on the bright side, Faldo did see every possible variation of (72). I have that going for me. Went out when Faldo’s pair of fives lost to T3chlady’s two pair.
73 min: T3chlady (6th) has to go with (Ah Kh) and cannot catch Derf-63’s (KK).
75 min: Eyekall (5th) sees his (Ah Th) get run down by a Lump2 flush holding (Kd Qd).
85 min: A SS Suetman123 (4th) goes with (KT) and runs into Absea98’s (KQ).
88 min: Lump2 (3rd) goes with (JJ) and baby cards on the flop. Absea98 calls with his flopped straight!
Heads Up:   Absea98      12000      -     Derf-63     8000
95 min:    Absea98      10600      -     Derf-63     104000
98 min:  A SS Derf-63 (2nd) has to go with (K2) and runs into Absea98’s (KQ).
Congratulations to Absea98 on his 7th NPP win!

Faldo’s Hand of the Night

Faldo's fans are devastated  when Faldo loses.
ThePunk75 graciously mentioned Faldo’s near come-back from a stack of 1 big blind to a stack of 15 big blinds, before seeing his (AK) run into (AA).
This is how Faldo’s road to that short stack started:
Blinds 1000 – 2000
Faldo (80,000 chips), Villain (100,000 chips)
Faldo with (Qd Jd) in cut-off -1.
Table folds to Faldo who makes it 6000 to go. The Villain as the dealer calls and the blinds fold. 15,000 in pot

The flop is [Qh Js 9c].
Faldo bet 10,000. The Villain insta-calls. Is he slow-playing the straight or trips?
The turn is a [Ks]. 35,000 in the pot.
Faldo bets 10,000 again and gets insta-called again. Is the Villain on the draw or did he get there and is now slow-playing? Does he have trips, and is afraid of my possible straight?
The river is a [9h].
Faldo bets 20,000 and gets insta-called again! And the Villain shows (Ah Kc) to take the pot with the higher two pair he turned and rivered.

Did Faldo misplay this hand? If so, how?
I think this hand can be played many ways. Faldo first thought he butchered it. But now Faldo is not so sure.
Ok NPP Stars: Let’s hear your take.
