The Constitution - It Did Build the World's Greatest Nation

What do you say?

Let's vote out all the politicians that don't follow it.

Yes, I am well aware of the fact that 90% of the ones in office.... don't and even 70% of those running for office ....don't even say they will.

We can't start doing that some time. We have to do it now. Our nation, our Constitution and our freedoms....are out of time!

Lump2 Wins His 7th NPP Tourney – 3rd of the Quarter!

Beth Shak was waiting for Lump2 in the hallway of NPP after the tournament. Oh, the many fringe benefits of being an NPP winner.

Well, he is trying to run away with it and he just may. Another powerful performance by Lump2. He even opens up a lead in the Grand Totals race.

Sanster89 made an attempt to catch up, but came up short.

With four rounds left and a smaller field meaning a smaller amount of points available, it is going to be a tough road to catch Lump2. But, many of us still have a shot.

On to the action:

12 min: A short-stacked (SS) Theedouble*d (13th) with (Jh 9h) is double-teamed by ThePunk75 with (KK) and the winner, Lump2 with a pair of Aces.

18 min: ThePunk75 (12th) hits two pair, but Lump2 hits a straight.

22 min: A SS Tomservo2 (11th) loses to Sanster89 with (AK).

27 min: A SS Douge2 (10th) runs into Mikeniks-Faldo’s flush.

28 min: Wingsfancurt (9th) and Pre01 (8th) get knocked out at the other table.

1st break:

8thmile 2990

Mikeniks-Faldo 2355

94 min: A SS Mikeniks-Faldo (4th) goes with (A9) and is called by Sanster89 with (QT) and of course a [T] hits the board. Thank you – once again - for your support, PokerStars.

There is no crying in poker, but there is whining.

Uh........ there is no whining either?

Darn!!

82 min: A SS 8thmile (3rd) gets double-teamed by Sanster89, and loses to Lump2’s pair of Aces.

Heads Up: Lump2 13,200 - Sanster89 6,300

85 min: Lump2 17,200 - Sanster89 2,300

“Fast and Furious” – In a Nutshell

Idiot, moron, Marxist or traitor. You are one or all of these if you ever vote for a Democrat again. Pure and simple.

On December 14, 2010, in a remote area of Arizona, US Border Patrol finds a group of heavily armed illegal aliens.

With no respect for American law or those tasked with enforcing it, the illegal aliens opened fire. When it is over, Border Agent Brian Terry lay dead.

One of the illegal aliens was captured. He is charged with 2nd degree murder, illegal possession of firearms, unlawful entry into the United States and will go to trial someday. And regardless of the outcome, will no doubt some day return to Mexico to a hero’s welcome, and probably with an apology from the Obama Administration.

But the charges filed don’t go far enough. The illegal aliens obtained their weapons to kill Brian Terry from the Obama Administration’s ‘Fast and Furious’ gun running program. The Obama Administration purposefully sent high powered arms to some of the most violent criminals on Earth. The very people responsible for thousands of deaths, kidnappings and sex-slave trade throughout Mexico. Where is the ‘accomplice’ charges against Obama and Eric Holder, the Attorney General who ran the Fast and Furious program?

The intent of Fast and Furious was to blame American weapons and ‘lax’ gun laws for the violence – as a pretext for attacking and eliminating the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution.

For those of you in the People’s Republic of Ann Arbor, the 2nd Amendment states – and sit down and hang on to your bong pipe for this - that our government cannot disarm the citizens – ever.

Eric Holder, of the Obama Justice Department refuses to hand over documents concerning this abuse of power and has been charged with contempt of Congress. The #1 police officer in the nation is disobeying the very laws he is supposed to be enforcing. Standard liberal behavior I grant you. And our mainstream media remains silent on this topic.

Barack Hussein Obama backs Eric Holder, probably taking a page from Eric Holder’s playbook that said – and I quote – “My people will not be prosecuted.” HIS people. You got that Whitey and Amigo?

Brian Terry, before he joined the Border Patrol, was a US Marine. He lost his life protecting America, and was killed by guns supplied by the Obama Administration, that were put directly into the hands of rapists, drug runners, human traffic kidnappers, and murderers.

Every Democrat voter needs to be forced to vacation on a US - Mexican border town and bring their teenage or pre-teen daughters with them. But that is another story you are not hearing about from the main stream media.

Douge2's Humor Corner: White Men Can't Count

Sobering Statistics

Doctors:

The number of physicians in the USA is 700,000.

Accidental deaths caused by doctors is 120,000.

Accidental deaths per doctor is 17.1%

Guns

Number of gun owners in the USA is 80,000,000

Number of accidental deaths caused by gun owners is 1,500.

Accidental deaths per gun owner is .00188%

So,

Doctors are 9,000 times more deadly than gun owners.

And remember, not everyone has a gun but almost everyone goes to a doctor.

Please alert your friends to this alarming threat!

We would report the statistics on lawyers, but that would cause shock and heart attacks, which would send people to doctors!

So we are withholding that information for public safety reasons.

Where the White Man Went Wrong

Indian Chief Two Eagles was asked by a white government official, “You have observed the White Man for almost 90 years now. You have seen his technical advances, his progress in sciences, and his failures.”

The Chief nodded in agreement. The official continued, “In light of these facts; where exactly did the White Man go wrong, Chief?”

The Chief starred at the government official and then replied, “When white man find land, the Indians were running it. No taxes, no debt, plenty of buffalo, plenty beaver, clean water and clean air. Women did all the work. Medicine Man free, The man spent all his day hunting and fishing, and his night having sex.”

Then the Chief leaned back and smiled and said, “Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve on a system like that.”

LittleRedElf Dominates PokerStars – and Not Just on Tuesday Nights

LittleRedElf sends us a report on how he does when not at the NPP tables:

“I entered the PokerStars 7:32 PM HORSE tourney Tuesday night just before our league tourney.

There were 415 entrants who all paid 10,500 play money chips. All of the games have a limit betting structure; Hold ‘Em, Omaha H/L (8 or better), Razz, Seven Card Stud and Seven Card Stud H/L (8 or better). Everyone started with 2,000 chips. I ended up in 3rd place after a little more than 2.5 hours of play and received 33,200 chips for my efforts.

I truly enjoy playing the different kinds of games. Last Tuesday, I managed to win the 5:47 PM Razz tourney that also ended during our league play. There were about 390 players who paid 109 Chips and I managed to receive about 8,000 for the win. I encourage others to learn and play other games, also, even if just for the variety of play.

Then, two nights later, I won the same 7:32 PM HORSE tourney tonight. There were 386 entrants, it cost 1,050 chips to enter, but it only took 2h 19m to complete and I received 75,270 chips for my efforts. When it was heads up, I was a 3 to 1 underdog but I battled back, catching a couple of bluffs by the villain and finally got him in the end with 2 pair in 7 Card Stud.” – LittleRedElf

Wow! Thanks for the report Elf!

Not to be outdone, Faldo finished 9th in a tournament, making the final table about equal to everyone else in chips.

Wait, that was a 10-person SNG. Never mind.

Sanster89 Wins His 1st NPP Title!

A Sanster89 rail bunny helps him up after fainting after his victory! The 68th person to win an NPP tournament.

Sanster89 jumps right into the 3rd quarter race for a seat in the NPP Final. T3chlady and Derf-63 also pick up points.

Remember, Mikeniks-Faldo is a wildcard. If Faldo qualifies – either in a quarter or in the total points race, the next person also qualifies. So, technically, Sanster89 is now in 2nd place in the 3rd quarter.

T3chlady’s Inaugural White House Tournament

The cheerleaders were a great touch T3chlady, but the "first" tournament is not spelled Anagaral.

The write up, from the hostess herself!

"Hi NPP’ers,

Players: Jean (T3chlady), Dave (LittleRedElf). Doug (douge2), Fred (Beerhog), James Rizor (rijzor), Tom (tomservo2), Jeff (tomservo’s assistant), Kathy (tomservo’s daughter), John (k9isadog), Mike (Mikeniks-Faldo), Randy (rjmech),

Details: Dinner: Hamburgers on the grill and assorted salads and dessert.

Tournament Started at 5:40

8:15 Doug busted out by Kathy

8:18 Jeff busted out by John

8:32 Dave busted out by Kathy

8:43 Mike busted out by James

10:01 Randy busted out by Jean

10:02 Fred busted out by Jean

James busted out next

John busted out next (sorry I did both of those well after the fact, time not noted)

Then by chip count we declared Kathy the winner, Jean 2nd and Tom 3rd

Here’s the real story:

About a week before the tournament I finished up phase I of my poker room decorations but could not figure out how to get the ambient temp of 60 degrees! OMG. Way too cold for sitting and playing cards. The primary ducts for the air conditioning run the length and width of that room in the ceiling. Rest of the house is 74 but basement is 60.

I bought a heater! Can you believe it? July and I’m looking for a heater. The best one was one I could use in my barn for the winter as well but it was 220V and I had to have a new plug put in to use it. My barn already had 220. So my electrician came out and installed the plug. The heater I ordered is a 4000W two speed heater with a blower. I opened the box to test it and the plug looked like someone had run over it. Good grief.

I took the unit to my electrician and the replaced the plug. I picked up the heater on Friday.

The night before the tournament I was putting the finishing touches on my two older 8-seat octo poker tables. Each one received a new felt top. The green table needed a couple of small nails to secure the middle plate and I started pounding. After about 5 minutes of that, about a DOZEN YELLOW JACKETS visited me in the basement. Yikes! How could I have a party if we were going to be surrounded by swarms of mutant wasps! Apparently the noise disturbed their sleep and they sent out the front guard.

So at midnight Friday I went to Meijers and purchased some pest bombs. I got back, bees were gone. Scary, don’t know where. I set off one bomb and sealed the basement. Went to bed and told myself I would finish next day.

So, next morning I started sealing off every open crevice in the basement, topping it off with some plastic and decorative duct tape (yeah, right). No yellow jackets. All was good. But I could hear them in the wall upstairs near the window well, behind the siding. Then I went outside and saw where they were coming and going. I called a pest removal place and they will be here in a day or two to get rid of them. These pests usually just keep to themselves unless to annoy them (hammering nails, for example).

It was still 60 degrees down there so I turned on the heater and within 45 minutes it felt quite comfortable. Sigh and thank goodness. Add 10 people and it was just right for the remainder of the evening.

At 3:00 I started getting phone calls that people would be late. Doug and James arrived before 4 to help. At 4 we were still the only ones here and we were hungry so we decided to run the cookout first and then play afterwards. People started showing up and we had burgers and salads ready. My sister Janet and her husband Jon came over to eat too. It was Jon’s birthday and combining the two events seemed like a good idea, and it was! Janet brought strawberry shortcake instead of the traditional birthday cake.

We started the tournament at 5:40 and the rest is history. Everyone had a great time. Killer Kathy was reigned queen. K9 is to be commended for feats of strength helping us roll Tom up the stairs. Thanks go to our professional dealers, Mike and K9.

With only a few adjustments I think the next event will be even better, like sound deadening on the chip trays and chairs that don’t go “pop”.

You can expect a fall classic, probably October. - Jean"

Thanks Jean! Ok, we got Rijzor to join NPP. Tomservo2, start working on Kathy and Jeff to join us on Tuesdays!

PokerStars Purchases Full Tilt in Settlement with the Dept. of Justice

Washington, DC (July 31, 2012) - John Pappas, executive director of the Poker Players Alliance (PPA), the leading poker grassroots advocacy group with more than one million members nationwide, issued the following statement upon today's announcement that PokerStars purchased Full Tilt Poker's major assets and settled its legal disputes with the U.S. Department of Justice. The settlement means that tens of thousands of Americans will be able to seek reimbursement of the more than $150 million they have been owed since April 15, 2011.

"Thanks to PokerStars, the PPA expects that tens of thousands of innocent American poker players will now have access to more than $150 million that has been kept from them for over 14 months. We applaud that the parties made a process for the restitution of the players a central component of the agreement, and appreciate the government’s commitment to the fair treatment of the players

"The government has not yet released the precise details on how reimbursements will occur. It is the PPA's position that the government must take all steps necessary to ensure the process for the players to recover their full funds is not unduly burdensome. PPA's legal team will remain fully involved as the ‘voice of the player’ to ensure our members are heard throughout this process. As we learn more, the PPA will quickly gather and distribute information on the reimbursement process to our members.

"At the same time, let’s remember that Americans still remain unable to play poker with safe and secure online sites based in the U.S. – a freedom and consumer protection they should not be denied. The PPA and its members continue to urge Congress to quickly enact thoughtful legislation to create a licensed and regulated U.S. online poker market that restores Americans' freedom to enjoy a game of poker from their home computer."
