Little Red Elf (LRE) continues dominating the NPP field, which is no small feat. We don’t exactly have a weak stable here.
No new players tonight (disappointment to Faldo), but Boother36 returned tonight, which was good to see. I am doing all I can, but summers are tough I know.
On to the action:
20 min: Mikeniks-Faldo (17th)(your host) got a run of cards early. Unfortunately, the flops missed me and helped everyone else - every time but one. My last ditch effort with (Th 9h) turned into two pair and gave LRE the straight. It runs that way sometimes.
22 min: Fusciardi (16th) goes AIPF with (KJ), and runs into LRE’s (AQ).
31 min: Kensik (15th) moves AIPF with (QQ), but Boother36 has (KK)! A [Q] lands on the flop, but a [K] hits on the river. This cripples Ken who has his (A5) run into ThePunk75’s (55) to end his night.
PokerStars had to think I was sitting in Kensik’s seat for that kind of torture to a player.
40 min: ThePunk75 (14th) and LRE hook up in a pot with a flop and turn of [Qs 7d 5s 3s]. LRE bets it and ThePunk slow play-calls with (As6s) {77%}, wanting to cut into that big stack. But when a [Q] hits the river, all the chips go in and LRE (77) filled his boat.
The first four players were taken out on the same table. What a bloody mess that felt was.
What was the other table doing – having a knitting class with Davethedog-4Putt and drinking Miller-Lite, Woodchuck Hard Cider and Davethedog-4Putts’s Shirley Temple mix?
Not that there is anything wrong with that.
52 min: Absea98 (13th) goes AIPF with (66) is called by Bigbrimar with (AK) and a [K] hits the river. Finally the other table gets busy!
58 min: A short-stacked (SS) Derf-63 (12th) moves in with (7h 4h) and is called by Bigbrimar (JJ) and K9isadog (Kc Qc). The Dog hits his flush.
59 min: Last quarter’s winner, Theedouble*d (11th) has to move AIPF with (As 4s) but can’t catch LRE’s (AT).
1st Break:
LittleRedElf – a ton of chips.
Everyone else – not so much
I don’t have the chip list. I was looking for the nearly brand new shower heads stored in my basement for my son’s new house. Primo shower heads from the Holiday Inn Express collection. Always carry a plumber’s wrench when you stay in a new motel. And check in using Beerhog’s credit card, and the name - Matchy Sirgash.
64 min: Akensi (10th) bubbles for points with (KQ) and runs into T3chlady’s (AA).
69 min: But success is fleeting for T3chlady (9th) as her AIPF (88) is out-flopped by LRE’s (AQ) with an [A] on the flop and then piles on with another [A] on the river.
89 min: Tomservo2 (8th) (66) gets run down by Funtoon with (A8) and an [8] on the flop.
91 min: A SS Bigbrimar (7th) moves AIPF with (QJ) and runs into Boother36’s (KJ).
92 min: A SS Funtoon (6th) goes AIPF with (AT) and runs into LRE’s (AA).
104 min: Boother36 raises and Douge2 (5th) moves AIPF with (TT) {68%]. Boother36 calls with (AT) {30%} and hits an [A] on the flop. Two 5ths in a row for Douge2. Hope he can stay sober.
Get it? Two 5th’s?
110 min: Tigercub8189 (4th) goes card dead and basically hands his stack to Boother36.
117 min: A SS Boother36 with (K5) {37%} hits a [5] on the flop to double up on LRE with (A9){63%}. Boother has chips now.
119 min: K9isadog (3rd) has fought off the red hot LRE to this point. Now, SS’ed with (98) the flop of [847] gives him some hope {80%}. LRE has to call as he holds part of that too with (J7). A [T] hits the turn, moving K9 to an {89%} favorite. But a [9] on the river gives LRE the straight.
Heads up, and one battle I always wanted to watch - and expect to see a lot from now on.
Boother36 13000 - LRE 12500
120 min: Boother36 17565 - LRE 7935
124 min: LRE’s (AT) beats Boother36’s (Ac4c).
125 min: Boother36 17000 - LRE 8500
130 min: Chips EVEN!!!!!
135 min: Boother36 7500 - LRE 18000
What happened? A flush and trips happened.
137 min: Boother36 (2nd) just ran into the LRE buzz saw as even Boother's (Ah Th)
{83%} hits a flop of [Ac Qd Td] against LRE’s (As 9h) {2%}. A [J] hits the turn, making Boother {68%} and LRE up to {9%}. An [8c] gives LRE the straight and the win.
