This brand was introduced in the United States in 1997. It is designed to garner the same respect as it’s namesake in Cuba.
From the Website: “The dark Ecuador Sumatra wrapper encloses a rich Connecticut broadleaf wrapper and a filler blended from Dominican, Nicaraguan and Peruvian tobaccos. This creates a smoke that is rich and powerful, without being over-whelming. Pure smoking satisfaction!”
Faldo agrees. This is the first full-strength cigar I have truly enjoyed.
I now have my “favorite” trio complete.
Golf course front nine and early day: Licenciados
Golf course back nine and afternoon: La Flor del Caney
After dinner, after dark or after the first two!: TTT Trinidad
This won’t stop me from trying others and of course reporting the results. But these are my “go to” cigars right now. I will always have some of these in my humidor.
