A Democrat president does his constitutional duty and murders the head of a religious cult. He also keeps two Bush wars going, starts a third US conflict and keeps our terrorist prison open. Very Republican. What is going on there?

And the media is cheering it? Huh????
And Code Pink, The View, Cindy Sheehan and the peacenik liberals are obediently silent. WTF????

And tanker truck drivers become the Lane Police.

There is construction in the middle of US – 23 right now. After all, there are only two seasons in Michigan – winter and road repair. We just started the “latter”.

Anyway, rumor has it that there is some sort of “new” law which states somehow that when approaching a restricted lane location, you are to move into the known open lane as soon as you are safely able to do so.

Whatever. I have not seen this law, could not google it or find it, and won’t obey it anyway - if it is true.

What sense does it make to turn a possible 3 mile back-up into a 6 mile back up with a lane open?

What if you are on Exit 2 and only need to go to Exit 3? The six mile back up crushes you. The 3 mile back up affects you not.

As far as the advantage of a lane in order for emergency vehicles to get to a crash site; 1) most the time no one knows which lane is open – if any, and 2) odds are it is usually a construction site holding you up. So this is a non-consideration.

But this law – or rumor of a law – has turned some people into self-anointed Lane Gestapo. Its like, “I got in line and you a damn well going to also – BEHIND ME!!!”

Anyway, coming home from the golf course, a tanker truck proceeded to so S-turns covering two lanes in order to keep people from passing him on the left. I watched this unfold in front of me. He was carrying a heavy load I guess and got tired of people passing him. He decided to become a Lane Cop. There was at least a half-mile or more in front of him - with no traffic!

He risks his traffic safety, other people’s traffic safety, and a ticket if on the long odds chance there was a state trooper in the area with his brain working properly.

But the driver is also taking the unnecessary risk of upsetting someone who has finally - had enough. Lucky for him, I had shot a 79. It it had been a 92, it could have turned ugly.

Right now jobs are gone, houses are gone, money is gone, pensions are gone, families are gone, discretionary spending is gone, internet poker is gone, freedoms are gone and in some cases – hope is gone.

Intentionally agitating the general public is not a good thing to do.

This country is not at a happy place right now. The divides have widened as was the plan of the Democrats. They purposely pit one group against the other. It is only a war of words in the best of times.

We are closer than you think to things getting really crazy. My advice is for everyone to chill out on everything that is not super important. And that important list should be a very short list.
