Faldo Wins for the 2nd Time in 2014

Letizia Filippi is waiting for Faldo....to finish.....poker.
What is going on here? Faldo hit some turns. Then Faldo hit some rivers. Then Faldo hit flops! Then Faldo got lucky. Then Faldo got cards.
Faldo will admit it. Faldo did not have to play great poker tonight to win. Faldo simply played his hands and they all held up.
Faldo stretched his lead – but remember – 2nd place also gets a seat if Faldo can hang on. So, 2nd place is as good as first right now.
I’m telling you – NPP is the place to play. Get in the game.

Lump2 Wins for the 1st Time in 2014

Lump2's play knocks her socks off..........among other things.
And it won’t be the last. Lump2 took control early and never relinquished the chip lead. It was textbook play on how to use the “big stack”. Twss!

But, we have a lot of that type of play here with the talent in this group of poker players.

The race is tight and no one has pulled away. There is still time to challenge for the first chair in the NPP Finals. Join today.

On to the action!
2 min: Rjmech (15th) sees his Trips lose to Sanster89’s full house.
3 min: Douge2 (14th) sees his Trips lose to Absea98’s full house. It’s an over-saturated house market!
20 min: Tomservo2 (13th)
27 min: Derf-63 (12th) sees his (KK) run into Mikeniks-Faldo’s (AA)! Ouch!
40 min: LittleRedElf (11th)

45 min: Sanster89 (9th)
50 min: Tim481 (8th) blinds out.

Suetman123    3880
T3chlady     2410
Absea98    1347
95corolla    730

72 min: 95corolla (6th) loses to Suetman123’s flush.
73 min: T3chlady (5th) with (AA) loses to Suetman123’s flush! Some more bad breaks for T3, but Faldo must note that her short-stack play tonight was a thing of beauty! “Techlady” will be heard from before this season is over. Trust me.

76 min: A short-stacked (SS) Absea98 (4th) runs into Lump2’s full house.
98 min: A SS Suetman123 (3rd) sees her (88) lose to Lump2’s (QQ).
Heads up:        Lump2    13600    -      Mikeniks-Faldo     8900

100 min:  Mikeniks-Faldo(2nd) tries to force things with (A9) and runs into Lump2’s (AT). Ouch! Faldo was two pips from greatness!

An Open Letter to Democrats

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, the mainstream media, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1930's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of
America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:
Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. Then we conservatives will give you first pick! Can’t get any better social justice than that!

We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military.

We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore and Rosie O'Donnell. You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them.

We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart and Wall Street.

You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, food stamps, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and illegal aliens.

We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, FOX News, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you ABC. CBS, NBC MSNBC, CNN, The New York Times and Hollywood.

You can make nice with
Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters. When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N. but we will no longer be paying the bill.

We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Subaru station wagon, electric car and moped you can find.

You can give everyone healthcare if you can find any practicing doctors. We'll continue to believe healthcare is a luxury and not a right.

We'll keep "The Battle Hymn of the Republic", “America the Beautiful” and "The National Anthem."

I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute "Imagine," "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing," "Kum Ba Ya" or "We Are the World.”

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

You would agree to this, right? After all, except for us not there to pay for it, it is everything you say you want. Have at it.

In the spirit of friendly parting, we conservatives want to talk with you in 5 years and see which one of us is dong better. Until then, good luck to you liberals.

Sincerely,
The Tea Party
P.S. Also, please take Ted Turner, Sean Penn, Martin Sheen, Barbara Streisand, & Jane Fonda with you.
P.S.S. And, don’t worry. You won't have to press 1 for English when you call our country.

Faldo Squeaks Out a Victory

Waiting in Faldo's suite at Niks Poker Palace. It's hard work being Faldo.
In spite of one of the dumbest plays Faldo has ever made (and he has made many), Faldo comes back to win it from a hard – charging Douge2.
Douge2 has been on fire in this 1st quarter. In spite of Faldo’s win, Douge2 still holds the lead in the 1st quarter. Nice rounding Douge2.
The rest of the field had to be rooting for Faldo because Douge2 would have been pulling away with another win. But with Faldo playing Faldo’esqe poker, they had to be worried.
The hand will be explained below – where it happened.
We welcomed a new player tonight – Tim481. He made the final table and actually earned points in his first tournament. Way to go Tim!
Anyway, the race is still tight for the 1st quarter seat, so come on and sign up!
On to the action:
24 min: Theedouble*d (16th)
25 min: Sanster89 (15th) sees his (Ad Kd) run into Douge2’s (AA).
30 min: Derf-63 (14th) runs into Tomservo2’s trip Sixes.
31 min: ThePunk75 (13th) ran into Tomservo2’s full house. Someone is hot!
34 min: A short-stacked (SS) Wingsfancurt (12th) with (AQ) loses to Tomservo2’s pair of Eights as an [8] hits the board. Yep, hot all right!
44 min: Tomservo2 (11th) sees his (TT) run into Mikeniks-Faldo’s (KK). Tom got cold.
52 min: 95corolla (10th) missed it as table closed.
53 min: K9isadog (9th) blinded out
1st break:
Douge2     5810
Tim481    5405
Mikeniks-Faldo    4303
Lump2    3497
Suetman123    2100
LittleRedElf    1530
T3chlady     690
Absea98    665
69 min: LittleRedElf (8th) with (55) runs into Absea98’s (KK).
74 min: A SS T3chlady (7th) runs into Mikeniks-Faldo’s flush.
82 min: A SS Absea98 (6th) goes with (4) and runs into Lump2’s trip Queens.
91 min: A SS newcomer Tim481 (5th) loses to Lump2’s pair of Queens.
94 min: Suetman123 (4th) runs into Douge2’s pair of Jacks.
95 min: A SS Lump2 (3rd) with (KJ) falls to Mikeniks-Faldo’s pair of Twos.
Heads up:    Douge2   16700     -     Mikeniks-Faldo     7300
100 min:      Douge2   16100     -     Mikeniks-Faldo     7900
105 min:      Douge2    9000     -     Mikeniks-Faldo     15000
Mikeniks-Faldo has (QQ) and forgets himself for a minute – staring at those lovely Ladies. After the flop Faldo moves all-in on a flop of [7K3]! What can Douge2 possibly call with except a (K) or trip Threes or trip Sevens? Of course he calls with a King. A case can be made for moving in to prevent an Ace from falling, but a decent size bet and a re-raise all in by Douge2 would have been a whole lot cheaper.
Sometimes Faldo’s brain air locks.
110 min:      Douge2   20000     -     Mikeniks-Faldo     4000
115 min:      Douge2   12000     -     Mikeniks-Faldo     12000
117 min:  Douge2 (2nd) tries it with (JT) but Mikeniks-Faldo has (KJ).
1st – Mikeniks-Faldo
2nd – Douge2
3rd – Lump2
4th – Suetman123
5th – Tim481
6th – Absea98
7th – T3chlady
8th - LittleRedElf
9th – K9isadog
10th – 95corolla
11th – Tomservo2
12th – Wingsfancurt
13th – ThePunk75

15th – Sanster89
16th – Theedouble*d

T3chlady Cashes in a Florida Tournament!

Three cheers for T3chlady!
In Sarasota FL there is a dog track and the upstairs of the main building is devoted to One Eyed Jacks Poker Room.
They have a tournament there almost every evening.
Saturday there were about 60 entries at $100 + 10. This particular tournament had a $25 bounty for each knockout.
First place paid $1300, second place $700, third $400, fourth $200
I played my regular game and stayed fairly static for the first couple of hours. There was a very aggressive woman at our table who was the female counterpart of RJ. She played very much like him. Anyway she was up and down in chips but always entering with a raise and always calling if she had any investment in a pot. I finally doubled up through her with AA against her AK. I felt fortunate that I got the call because the evening was advertising me a playing very tight. The fact of the matter was that I wasn’t getting very good cards and couldn’t push back with the weak hands I had.
So I drifted along with not much excitement and made it to the final table with a middle stack.
I mucked QQ and KK when an Ace appeared on the flop and as it turned out my folds were good ones. I would have lost. But those hands depleted my stack a bit with the blinds fairly high and me entering the hands with a raise.
Then I got QQ again. Three people before me went all in. I called, fully expecting to get beat – but I had a thought that at least two of the all-ins only had one Ace with some reasonable kicker. I was right. The three hands outside of mine were AK, A10 and JJ. The flop was Q85 which gave me my set and then it was followed by 59 for the full house. I quadrupled up and collected two bounties. I didn’t have enough chips to cover the side pot so that player earned the third bounty.
That brought us down to 6 players with four of us having most of the chips and the two others very short stacked. My string of weak hands continued and I pushed with AT but my opponent had a pair that held up. So I won two bounties and the 4th place money.
I would recommend this poker room if you find yourself in Florida.
On a side note, when I landed in Tampa coming into town, we stopped by the Hard Rock Seminole Casino and took a look at that poker room. It is absolutely huge! They were running the Friday night $230 deep stack tournament. About 50 entries. But the really impressive thing was that the poker room had about 50 tables (maybe more) and there was a line of people waiting to play cash. Unbelievable.
They don’t have evening tournaments on the weekends so I didn’t get to play there but maybe next time.
I hope I can go back in March for a shot at a WPT satellite. For $230 you can win a $5000 entry into a WPT event. Top 4 get the entry.
Jean

Thank you Jean and congratulations! See - this is why you practice at Niks Poker Palace!

Absea98 Wins and is in the Hunt for the 1st Quarter Seat

Absea98 makes his stand. But it does not look as good as Rachel's.
All Absea98 had to do was defeat the legend – LittleRedElf – heads up. That’s all.
Piece of cake……NOT! They had quite a heads up battle with LittleRedElf coming all the way back.
But Absea98 got it done in the end.
Douge2 – with his 3rd place finish – takes over the point lead in the first quarter. But he has a host of pursuers.
There is still time to get into this league and still win the 1st quarter. What are you waiting for?

Joe Citizen vs. Jose Illegal Alien

Jose and liberals are the weights. The US taxpayer are the arms. Get it now?
There are two families: "Joe Legal Citizen" and "Jose Illegal Alien". Both families have two parents, two children, and live in California.

Joe Legal works in construction, has a Social Security Number and makes $25.00 per hour with taxes deducted.

Jose Illegal also works in construction, has NO Social Security Number, and gets paid $15.00 cash "under the table".

Ready? Now pay attention...

Joe Legal: $25.00 per hour x 40 hours = $1000.00 per week, or $52,000.00 per year. Now take 30% away for state and federal tax; Joe Legal now has $31,231.00.

Jose Illegal: $15.00 per hour x 40 hours = $600.00 per week, or $31,200.0 0 per year. Jose Illegal pays no taxes. Jose Illegal now has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays medical and dental insurance with limited coverage for his family at $600.00 per month, or $7,200.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $24,031.00.

Jose Illegal has full medical and dental coverage through the state and local clinics at a cost of $0..00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal makes too much money and is not eligible for food stamps or welfare.
Joe Legal pays $500.00 per month for food, or $6,000.00 per year. Joe Legal now has $18,031.00.

Jose Illegal has no documented income and is eligible for food stamps and welfare. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays rent of $1,200.00 per month, or $14,400.00 per year. Joe Legal now has 9,631 .00.

Jose Illegal receives a $500.00 per month federal rent subsidy. Jose Illegal pays out that $500.00 per month, or $6,000.00 per year. Jose Illegal still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal pays $200.00 per month, or $2,400.00 for insurance. Joe Legal now has $7,231.00.

Jose Illegal says, "We don't need no insurance!" and still has $31,200.00.

Joe Legal has to make his $7,231.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, etc.

Jose Illegal has to make his $31,200.00 stretch to pay utilities, gasoline, and what he sends out of the country every month..

Joe Legal now works overtime on Saturdays or gets a part time job after work.

Jose Illegal has nights and weekends off to enjoy with his family.

Joe Legal's and Jose Illegal's children both attend the same school. Joe Legal pays for his children's lunches while Jose Illegal's children get a government sponsored lunch. Jose Illegal's children have an after school ESL program. Joe Legal's children go home.

Joe Legal and Jose Illegal both enjoy the same police and fire services, but Joe paid for them and Jose did not pay.

Do you get it, now?

If you vote for or support any politician that supports illegal aliens (100% Democrat do), you are part of the problem! If you vote Democrat, you are lying to even call yourself an American. Americans don't destroy their own country with welfare, open borders and communism re-defined as "progressive" or "liberal".

We need to keep this going--we need to make changes ASAP!

It's way PAST time to take a stand for America and Americans! What are you waiting for?

Douge2 Wins His 1st NPP Tourney of the Year

Waiting for the winner ....Douge2....in the NPP Players Lounge
It was a crazy night! You could not get a short stack out it seemed like. There were a dozen comebacks – but not all successful completely. How to Be a Good Wife from Home Economics Book - circa 1950

Standard position before asking to join husband in bed.
Have dinner ready. Plan ahead, even the night before, to have a delicious meal ready, on time for his return. This is a way of letting him know that you have been thinking about him and are concerned about his needs. Most men are hungry when they come home and the prospect of a good meal (especially his favorite dish) is part of the warm welcome needed.
Prepare yourself. Take 15 minutes to rest so you’ll be refreshed when he arrives. Touch up your make-up, put a ribbon in your hair and be fresh looking. He has just been with a lot of work weary people. Be a little gay and a little more interesting. His boring day may need a lift and one of your duties is to provide it.
Clear away the clutter. Make one last trip through the main part of the house just before your husband arrives. Gather up schoolbooks, toys, papers etc and then run a dust cloth over the tables. Over the cooler months of the year you should prepare and light a fire for him to relax and unwind by. Your husband will feel he has reached a haven of rest and order, and it will give you a lift too. After all, catering for his comfort will provide you with immense personal satisfaction.
Prepare the children. Take a few minutes to wash the children’s faces and hands (if they are small), comb their hair and, if necessary, change their clothes. They are little treasures and he would like to see them playing the part. Minimize all noise. At the time of his arrival, eliminate all noise of the washer, dryer, and vacuum. Try to encourage the children to be quiet.
Be happy to see him. Greet him with a warm smile and show sincerity in your desire to please him. Listen to him. You may have a dozen important things to tell him, but the moment of his arrival is not the time. Let him talk first – remember, his topics of conversation are more important than yours.
Make the evening his. Never complain if he comes home late or goes out to dinner, or other places of entertainment without you. Instead, try to understand his world of strain and pressure and his very real need to be at home and relax.
Your goal: try to make sure your home is a place of peace, order and tranquility where your husband can renew himself in body and spirit.
Don’t greet him with complaints and problems. Don’t complain if he’s late home for dinner or even if he stays out all night. Count this as minor compared to what he might have gone through that day.
Make him comfortable. Have him lean back in a comfortable chair or have him lie down in the bedroom. Have a cool or warm drink ready for him. Arrange his pillow and offer to take off his shoes. Speak in a low, soothing and pleasant voice.
Don’t ask him questions about his actions or question his judgment or question his integrity. Remember, he is the master of the house and as such will always exercise his will with fairness and truthfulness. You have no right to question him.
A good wife always knows her place.

Just another reason to to join Niks Poker Palace. It's real poker against some real players.

Randy, Faldo will be waiting for his "trainer fee" by the mailbox. The usual 40% of the gross is fine. No tip needed either.

Ok, but make it a small gratuity.

The Day the SHTF in Argentina

hair. That's right. Your hair.
Imagine sitting in a hotel in Red China – there on business - and having breakfast..

A beautiful sunny morning on a work day and what you thought would be another average business day.

But then, the hotel informs you your credit cards are no longer good and they cannot accept cash from your native country.

You call back to your country to your work office, your home, your family members, your bank and your neighbors and all you get is a busy signal – then eventually – no signal.

You now have to rely on the generosity of the people you were working with to give you enough money to pay your bills so you can get home – when the airports and airlines finally re-open in your country.

Faldo was at that breakfast table when it happened to a woman from Argentina that sat with Faldo and a team of building engineers from Australia.

If you think it can't happen in the USA - think again. The Argentina government was doing exactly what our government is doing - borrowing and printing unlimited quantities of money.

Eventually Argentina's IOU was not accepted anymore.

Argentina is a food producing country, but children were starving to death everyday because the parents couldn't afford food since unemployment was at 25% and inflation made savings almost meaningless.

Large portions of cities became uninhabitable ....even by the police.
Being in a supermarket was being in a place that was already looted.
Any 'country' can become even more dangerous. No neighbors will help you when the criminals come around. They want to go un-noticed – hoping to be killed last - kind of like Republican politicians.

Then, your neighbors become criminals - out of necessity. Or you have to become one. Actually, being a good guy or a bad guy becomes simply a matter of perspective.

When the banks closed, cash was hard to come by and credit cards were not accepted. When banks re-opened, low limits on withdraws were strictly enforced. Barricades and armed security guards were at every branch. Connected government and rich people had moved their accounts earlier to other countries and many left the country just before the collapse with suitcases stuffed with money.

You had to protect yourself. If you did not prepare, you will soon learn fast - and first hand - that armed people can kill unarmed people with surprising regularity. The police either couldn't arrive in time or would not ever arrive. The police will show up to put you in jail for defending yourself, but will not show up to protect you. Jail is a death sentence in itself.

What is the biggest threat to you if the SHTF (poop hits the fan)?
Write down the top 5 threats and the most dangerous to the least. Now what are you doing to prepare?

Get in shape.  Some kind of shape. Improve to anything better than you currently are.
Most people die of illness and disease. Have meds available.
Law of 3 for survival;
air – 3 minutes
shelter – 3 hours
water – 3 days
food – 3 weeks

Have re-enforced doors, Think like a burglar. How would you get in?
Place motion detectors around your house. And emergency lights. Have an alarm.
Install security windows and shatter proof coatings. Secure you garage door.
Don't leave tools outside the house. Place thorny plants under windows.
Get two safes. Hide one well. Hide one poorly.

Oh………………. Happy New Year!

You may not know it, but Faldo has been very busy over the past 2 years putting my golf buddie's thoughts and ideas together in a book about golf. Faldo is very proud of the results.

In order to market the publication, Faldo is asking friends and family to be the first to own a copy. Here's the Table of Contents from Faldo’s new book, "Winning Golf Strategies.”
Faldo believes it gives the reader valuable playing tips and insider information that Faldo has gained through years of experience in the game observing my golfing partners.

the Bartender.

Hopefully you will find my book intriguing and purchase a copy.

Of course my golfing buddies already know these strategies, and are too busy digging up Balata balls from swamp areas to re-use, or buying back braces to support their tee box swings to buy a copy.

One is taking Cart Management classes (see photo) with such sections as:
Why They Make Cart Paths
Why You Go Around Creeks and Not Over Them Without a Bridge
Why Brake Donuts in a Cart on Wet Grass During Rain Storms is Not Allowed by Golf Courses

You Just Have to Smile……and Then Prepare

The Democrat goal for all Americans.
COSTELLO: I want to talk about the unemployment rate in America.
ABBOTT: Good Subject. Terrible times. It's 7.8%.

COSTELLO: That many people are out of work?
ABBOTT: No, that's 14.7%.

COSTELLO: You just said 7.8%.
ABBOTT: 7.8% Unemployed.

COSTELLO: Right. 7.8% out of work.
ABBOTT: No, that's 14.7%.

COSTELLO: Okay, so it's 14.7% unemployed.
ABBOTT: No, that's 7.8%.

COSTELLO: WAIT A MINUTE. Is it 7.8% or 14.7%?
ABBOTT: 7.8% are unemployed. 14.7% are out of work.

COSTELLO: If you are out of work you are unemployed.
ABBOTT: No, Congress said you can't count the "Out of Work" as the unemployed, it makes President Obama's employment numbers look bad! You have to look for work to be unemployed.

COSTELLO: BUT THEY ARE OUT OF WORK!
ABBOTT: No, you miss the point.

COSTELLO: What point?
ABBOTT: Someone who doesn't look for work can't be counted with those who look for work. It wouldn't be fair.

COSTELLO: To whom?
ABBOTT: The unemployed.

COSTELLO: But ALL of them are out of work.
ABBOTT: No, the unemployed are actively looking for work. Those who are out of work gave up looking and if you give up, you are no longer in the ranks of the unemployed.

COSTELLO: So if you're off the unemployment rolls that would count as less unemployment?
ABBOTT: Unemployment would go down. Absolutely!

COSTELLO: The unemployment just goes down because you don't look for work?
ABBOTT: Absolutely, it goes down. That's how they get it to 7.8%. Otherwise it would be 14.7%. President Obama doesn't want you to read about 14.7% unemployment. It makes him look bad, incompetent, and makes him look like he doesn't have a clue what he is doing as President.

COSTELLO: That would be tough on the Democrats running for re-election.
ABBOTT: Absolutely!

COSTELLO: Wait, I got a question for you. That means there are two ways to bring down the unemployment number?
ABBOTT: Two ways is correct.

COSTELLO: Unemployment can go down if someone gets a job?
ABBOTT: Correct.

COSTELLO: And unemployment can also go down if you stop looking for a job?
ABBOTT: Bingo.

COSTELLO: So there are two ways to bring unemployment down, and the easier of the two is to have people stop looking for work.
ABBOTT: Now you're thinking like a Democratic Economist.

COSTELLO: I don't even know what the hell I just said!
ABBOTT: Now you're thinking like a Congressman.

But Don’t Worry…..You Have Protection

Mike Williamson observes that the collateral damage produced by the sharpshooters in the NYPD make Graven Tower look downright solicitous by comparison:
As long as you ignore the fact that the shooting victims were innocent bystanders;
Hitting two people with three shots represents unusual excellence in marksmanship for the NYPD.

This is matching another recent incident in which skilled NYPD officers were able to hit their target and nine bystanders with only 16 bullets.
Overall the NYPD usually requires about 331 rounds to hit 54 targets, of which 14 will be innocent bystanders, 24 will be dogs, and 16 will be people the NYPD was actually aiming at.

Statistically, if you aren't a dog, it is slightly more dangerous to be the person the NYPD was shooting at than a bystander (16 people out of 331 shots for intended targets for a 4.8% hit rate vs. 14 people out of 331 shots for bystanders, a 4.2% hit rate).

NYPD has a better success rate for other weapons, and certain factors, like shooting unarmed people in the back, tend to increase hit rates.

When NYPD officers fire 331 shots, and hit 16 targeted people, 24 dogs, but also 14 bystanders, there is a problem.

If the gun control advocates were truly serious about wanting to reduce the amount of unnecessary harm caused by firearms, they'd be campaigning to disarm the police, not the American people.

I suppose we can be grateful that the NYPD doesn't have rocket-armed bazookas or missile-armed drones at their disposal........uh, oh….wait a minute……they do.
