Now for a response from lawyer Nick Roumel to Faldo and my lambasting of his desire for a "gun violence summit."

Thanks for writing. You've mixed up the concepts of a summit and a debate. My intent may be clearer by quoting from the press release to the summit:

     “Mass shootings of innocent people have become part of America’s culture. So are the well-meaning but predictable responses. Victim advocates call for stronger laws. Gun rights advocates invoke the Second Amendment. But what if both sides got together to try and stop the violence?”

     We start with the premise that all people want to reduce senseless violence. The hallmark of bipartisanship is to start with a common goal. Our 2018 “Gun Summit” seeks to find common solutions.

     “This summit will bring together advocates of all stripes, from recreational gun owners, to public health professionals, educators, faith leaders, law enforcement, and political leaders. The goal of helping to shape public policy and make recommendations to the powers that be. We will present panels from all those who are willing to roll up their sleeves, get past the rhetoric, and reduce gun violence without compromising constitutional rights. Can it be done? At the end of the day, we will ask Michigan’s gubernatorial candidates what they think. “

     One constant in American culture is the incredible diversity of our people, from their background to their opinions. We may not change minds, but we do hope to find our common values, and work together to make a safer society.

I believe a debate is the opposite of that concept, but you persist in using that term. In support, you engage in a lot of labeling and name calling. In lieu of facts, you cite anecdotes (and one quote from a Japanese general that has never been substantiated). 

Behind your rhetoric, I do see glimmers of hope - that in addition to one particular constitutional right, you also care about safety and security for all Americans. I'll take that to the bank of common ground, and run with it. As a constitutional lawyer (and gun owner), I fight for your freedoms every day. Let's fight for freedom and safety together.

You will have to wait until next week for my retort. But until then, amuse yourself by going back over this self proclaimed freedom and Constitution supporter and count the number of liberal/communist catch phrases you can find.

Nick thinks we need political leaders and gubernatorial candidates in the summit to get the job done. No one would get a word in edge wise with those diarrhea of the mouths opening their sewers. He also fails to realize how having those people in the room will immediately make everyone "choose up sides." 

 Ah, the rose colored glasses of liberalism blind even the most well intentioned people.

Rjmech Wins for the 4th time in 2018 - and A Liberal Takes on Faldo - Part One

Rjmech returned with a vengeance and broke up a friendly round.

Rjmech won this week against ten players, after taking many weeks off. He is heading to Las Vegas and the Luxor. The poker players in Vegas have less money available to them with RJ in town.

T3chlady is in Las Vegas this week! So that town's poker players are under assault again from the NPP stable.

LittleRedElf just came back from his World Series of Poker tournaments and Faldo knows he hurt the cash games while there.

Poor Las Vegas. Poor little Las Vegas. Going broke as the NPP veterans have their way with the mopes at those tables. After playing in our weekly games, anywhere in Las Vegas is a 'soft seat' in comparison.

Now on to the silliness of a liberal trying to debate Faldo:

With Faldo's car dropped at the body shop for some repairs, he was at the mercy of his wife's driving. We ended up in our little home town downtown district. We walked around and stopped into a bakery/sandwich shop for some bread sampling and to buy some cookies.

While the wife shopped, Faldo sat at a table and looked at the free magazines (ad magazines really). There was one article that caught Faldo's eye. It was written by a lawyer Nick Roumel and it was the feature article in the liberal rag of an ad magazine. I won't go into the details on how I knew it was a liberal publication, so you will have to trust Faldo on this one.

The irony and hypocrisy of liberals using capitalism (and the business of selling advertising to businesses) while spreading socialism and communism, seems to escape liberals for some reason. But I digress.

The title of Nick Roumel's article was "The Gun Summit Nobody Wants". This is why the article caught Faldo's eye.

Basically Nick was lamenting that he has tried several times to have 'a real summit' with 'all the correct people' from 'all sides of the debate' and 'appropriate agencies' to come up with real solutions in order to end 'senseless violence'.

His assertion was that the right wing was too hung up on the 2nd Amendment to bother discussing any type of compromise. And the left has offered to hold the summit a few times, only to 'withdraw' their offer near the date citing safety and security concerns.

Mr. Roumel is convinced that such a summit would net real solutions that will end senseless gun violence. And he wants to know why neither side is interested in holding one?

What about all the other senseless violence Nick? Only gun violence concerns you?

Well, Faldo contacted Nick Roumel, in care of the ad mag's editor, and here it is:

Hello Nick,
No one from the left-socialist-communist side wants a gun summit, because they will lose the debate.
Besides, they have their minds made up. It’s time to confiscate all guns as far the Left is concerned.
No one from the right-conservative-constitutional side will join your debate because you are not looking for answers for gun violence.

Your “gun violence prevention task force” idea is nothing more than a veiled “gun ban/confiscation task force”, and everyone knows it.
To quote you, “Our nation seems more divided than ever regarding firearm ownership and gun violence.”
Really? Your prejudice toward the 2^nd amendment is showing sir.  That’s why your “summit” got no traction.
Firearm ownership is a constitutional right. Gun violence is a crime. Two separate things.
Chicago is a “gun free” zone. How is that working out? But again facts are not something liberals are interested in.

Gun ownership prevents more crimes than it causes.
Gun violence – when guns are banned – just creates knife, bomb, car, machete, club, poison violence in it’s place - with the same gun violence by criminals who did not follow the confiscation laws. This is a fact. Only difference is – there are MORE victims because the good folks cannot protect themselves.
Liberals want guns banned to protect themselves from citizens when THEY riot and create havoc. Nothing more.
Just like in Germany before the Nazis took over.
The Democrats want the citizens unarmed for when they seize control. Nothing more.
Safe citizens is the last thing a leftist or liberal really care about. It’s their own skin they are protecting.
And what true bleeding hear liberals don’t want to admit or their brains refuse to accept is that if they reviewed history, unarmed citizens eventually become slaves by their governments.
The left-socialist-communist Democrat leaders do know it and they happily use their “useful idiot” bleeding hearts to get the citizenry unarmed.
The 2^nd amendment is there to protect Americans from the government – not from necessarily criminals and liberals. Although the 2^nd Amendment does protect us from criminals, as well as other traitors and enemies of the United States.
Japan and Germany did not try an invasion in WWII because as a Japanese general put it, “there would be an American with a rifle behind every blade of grass.” Both of those countries had slave citizens with no such option.
Did you ever look at pictures of Jews lined up in trenches while the German soldiers stood above them?
Did you ever look at pictures of the work camps in North Korea or the diamond mines in Africa?
Did you ever look at the pictures of the slaves in the Southern plantations in the USA before the Civil War?
How many guns was it that the Jews, North Koreans, Africans or African-Americans have in their hands at that time exactly?
Take a look and count them, would you please?
I’ll be glad to have a “summit, debate, discussion” or anything else you want to have.
Liberalism is a religion. Facts don’t matter to liberals.
I think it is truly a mental illness, just as many on the left view people who believe in God.
Some liberals heal or recover when enough truth and fact seeps in. Most never do.
The left-socialist-communist Democrat leaders rely on this, along with the brainwashing of the young (day care thru college – all part of the plan as Nikita Khrushchev told us in the 1960’s and the Democrats listened!).
Nick, you are either a useful idiot or a traitor to the United States Constitution.
You tell me which it is.

Now another spotlight placed on the Main Stream Democrat-Communist-Socialist Propaganda Media.

In the days after a shooter killed 10 people at a Texas high school, National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dana Loesch joined a chorus of conservatives in spotlighting a subject to blame that didn’t involve guns.

“The media has got to stop creating more of these monsters by oversaturation,” Loesch said on the NRA’s television station, echoing remarks she made after the Parkland shooting. “I’m not saying don’t responsibly report on things as they happen. Look, I understand it. But constantly showing the image of the murderer, constantly saying their name, is completely unnecessary.”

The Media – or the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party, which is what they really are – were quick to blow a gasket. They all chorused that to blame them instead of guns was just a pathetic attempt to shift blame.
But after the mass shooting at a newspaper office – by a liberal gun hater by the way – got a half day of coverage. Worries of a repeat shooting at other bastions of liberalism made the media keep it out of the front pages as soon as possible.
Liberals value the Media over children obviously.

Dave the Dog turned Faldo on to Colion Noir. If you are not watching his videos, you are missing some great information.

Noir spent the first half of a five minute part of a series attacking the media for coverage that he said inspired other shooters through reporting about mass shooters’ backgrounds and motivations, and included their names in coverage.

“These kids aren’t being inspired by an innate hunk of plastic and metal laying on a table, they’re inspired by the infamous glory of past shooters who they relate to,” he said. “And no entity on the planet does a better job, whether directly or indirectly, of glorying these killers, and thereby providing the inspiration for the next one, than our mainstream media.

It’s time to put an end to this glorification of carnage in pursuit of ratings, because it’s killing our kids. It’s time for Congress to step up and pass legislation putting common-sense limitations on our mainstream media’s ability to report on these school shootings. Pass a law preventing the media from reporting killer’s name or showing his face.”

Noir clarified at the end of the video that his proposal was not something he believed in, but one that he was using provocatively to make a point about those who argue in favor of gun control.

“You know that feeling of anxiety that shot through your body when I said the government should  pass laws to limit the media’s ability to exercise their First Amendment rights? That’s the same feeling gun owners get when they hear people say the same thing about the Second Amendment, however I vehemently disagree with the government infringing on the media’s First Amendment’s rights, the same way I don’t think the government should infringe on anyone’s Second Amendment rights.”

The video exposed the media for the absolute hacks, propagandists and liars they are when many of them went ballistic after watching only half of a lousy 5 minute video. Noir pointed this fact out in a later video after reading the reactions from the media hacks who ran to write stories with only half facts. They immediately attacked Noir for advocating he wanted restrictions on the 1^st amendment. Pathetic.

It was a lousy 5 minute video as Noir pointed out, and our Main Stream Media could not be bothered to watch or report on the entire thing. “That should scare the hell out of all of us,” Noir said later.

Leftists then had to back-track after Noir exposed them for the liars and false information spreaders they are. So they went to plan B.

 “Speaking usually doesn’t kill the hearer,” NYU law professor and constitutional expert Burt Neuborne told The Post last year. “Firing a gun poses a physical risk.”
And yelling “fire” in a crowded theater does not? Saying certain “words” with an N in it does not? Saying certain sexual things to the opposite sex (or same sex to be politically correct) does not? Stating that liberals should “get in the face of Trump supporters” does not?

This anonymous NYU law professor is a moron, mentally ill or a traitor or all three. All liberals are. Pure and simple.
