Faldo played his first round of the year today.....and is thinking summer thoughts.

Tomservo2 Wins His 2nd NPP Tourney of the Year

Tomservo2 at least got a good view at the gold, but couldn't reach it.

Tomservo2 came up short of the 1st quarter seat, but has a good point total to show for his efforts.

But what he did do, was stop Derf-63 from overtaking Rjmech for the 1st quarter seat!

It was by the smallest margin EVER in the history of NPP as Rjmech beat Derf-63 by .09 points! Wow!

Derf-63 needed a win and Tomservo2 kept that from happening with a great head to head battle.

And considering Derf-63 won back to back NPP heads up tournaments, that was no small feat!

Congratulations to Tomservo2 on the fine effort. Also to Derf-63 for his great quarter of play. But especially to Rjmech who already has secured his spot in the NPP Finals!

K9isadog Wins His First of 2013!

Brenda Asnicar has her eye on K9isadog!

And it will not be his last! He is only getting started this year - trust Faldo. Nice job K9!

Well, Faldo was absent for the first time since his heart surgery. I lost my stepfather about two hours before the tournament and had to rush to his house to be with my sister, who found him. My brother had left him not 30 minutes earlier!

My stepdad had just returned home from a physical rehab facility for breathing difficulties. He was not ready to come home, but he insisted and the rehab center said....whatever. So home he went to die in the house he paid for.
There is something to be said for that. Every man deserves AT LEAST that.

He lived 80 years and was a good husband to my mother (who we lost 10 years ago) for over 30 years. And for that, I am forever grateful, as they were the best years of my mother's life.

Not to worry about funeral visits friends as that was not his wish. A quiet family memorial is planned, as was discussed before the rehab stay was necessary.

She was just floored by Rjmech's performance! At poker too!

Prediction: It won’t be the last. Rolling thru the NPP line up, Rjmech strengthens his lead on the 1^st quarter standings. Two weeks left and he can be caught. So, lets get busy!

I have a live poker league that I play in monthly. One of the heads of the league is organizing a two day $200 buy-in two table tournament to be held in March 2013.

I have been given the ok to help recruit some players for this. So I thought I would ask you to post this into the NPP blog to see if any NPP players would be interested.
Here are some specifics.
It is a two day event. To be held on a weekend, on March 9 and 10, 2013.
$200 buyin. Two 10 person tables. Tournament will play at 18 if necessary.
I told the organizer that I have played with NPP for years and have met and played live with several of them.
